CATIA V5 R17 Wireframe and Surface Design
Overview:
This course is designed to help users add consumer appeal to their designs using wireframe and surface design features. Students will explore the creation and editing of splines, conics, surfaces, and surface design solid bodies in the context of feature-based design. Key topics include: reference features, points, lines, planes, axis systems, extemums, basic wireframe geometry, splines, projection curve, combined curves, parallel curves, helix, polyline, spiral, conic, extruded surface, geometrical sets, join, split, trim, sweep, thick surface, close surface, sew surface, extrapolate, transformations, sweep, analyzing surfaces, analyzing curves, and translating data.
Prerequisites:
I.get.it's New User Express class (or equivalent experience) and a Wireframe and Surface Design License.
Intended Audience:
Designers, Design Engineers or Manufacturing Engineers who need to understand how to effectively use basic surfacing techniques for curves and features.
