CATIA V5 R17 Sketcher & Part Design

image
Overview:
This course is intended to teach users how to create 2D profiles as well as reference elements to support those profiles. Users will also learn techniques to shorten the time spent sketching, as well as how to control sketches with geometric and dimensional constraints. Modeling techniques used to create and edit designs and feature-based solids will also be covered. Key topics include: reference features, points, lines, planes, axis system, sketch tools, curve creation, corner, chamfer, relimitation, transformation, dimensions, constraints, 3D geometry, sketch analysis, sketch-based features, bosses, cores, pads, pockets, grooves, shafts, holes, dress-up features, fillets, threads, taps, patterns, mirror, ribs, slots, stiffeners, solid combine, Boolean operations, remove, intersect, transformation, translation, symmetry, scaling, copy and paste, measure, draft analysis, parameters, formulas, and law editor.

Prerequisites:
At least 10 hours of CATIA experience, or completion of the CATIA V5 New User Express course.

Intended Audience:
Designers, Design Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers (both new and current CATIA V5 users) who need to understand how to create sketches and sketch-based solids using CATIA's Sketcher and Part Design workbenches.
