This course is designed to introduce users to the fundamentals of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) in CATIA V5. Key topics include: User interface review (compass, objects, views, file operations), evaluation tools, measure tools, CAM interface, tool changes, machine rotation, machining axis system, post processor, transformation, NC management, NC operation, NC status, tool path, NC verification, collision detection, queue management, milling, pocketing, facing, profile contouring, axial machining, drilling, tapping, reverse threading, boring, reaming, counter bore, counter sink, roughing, resources, prismatic machining area, and prismatic rework.

Prerequisites:
100 - V5 Foundation and at least 40 hours of CATIA V5 experience.

Intended Audience:
Manufacturing Engineers and NC Programmers who need to use CATIA for the generation of 2.5 axis drilling and 2-3 axis milling programs.
