CATIA V5 - Intermediate Surfacing
Overview:
This course continues where 104 - Wireframe and Surface left off and teaches users how to create complex surfaces using the CATIA V5 Generative Shape Design workbench. (For some licenses, many of these commands will be found in the Wireframe and Surfacing Design workbench instead.) Users will learn valuable tools to create efficient surface models. Key topics include: spline, translation, rotation, symmetry, scaling, affinity, join, split, trim, sweep, thick surface, close surface, sew surface, extract, near elements , edge fillet, shape fillet, variable fillet, tritangent fillet, extrapolate, law curves, untrim, disassemble, healing, projection curve, combined curve, parallel curve, helix, spiral, polyline, and conics.
Prerequisites:
CATIA V5 - 104 Wireframe and Surface course or equivalent knowledge.
Intended Audience:
Designers, Design Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers who need to understand how to effectively use surfacing modeling for complex shapes and features.
